Have you tried out “no-waste” sewing?…Do you make your voice heard when it comes to the toxins and processes in fabric manufacture and waste? …Do you like to work with sustainable fabrics, like all-natural linen and cotton?

As a Maryland ASG member, you’ve no doubt participated in our own circular economy of the annual Stash Sale, and we know that’s a great start. Whether you are new to sustainable sewing ideas or well versed, we’ll love to see you and your makes!

Featuring …

Runway Fashion Show – You may feature your creations in a variety of ways that include this year’s theme. It can be anything you want to share with us, be it a garment, tote, purse, hat, quilt, or an accessory etc… Using this year’s theme is not mandatory, but encouraged.

Guest Speaker – Katrina Orsini, textile historian, educator and fashion sustainability expert. Orsini is the curator of Source Material: Lessons in Responsible Fashion, the current exhibition at The George Washington University Textile Museum

Famous Stash Sale – Proceeds go to our many Chapter service projects (see guidelines for acceptable items in upcoming Nimble Thimble newsletter)
